With our Butterfly Rearing Kit, you’ll be able to watch this process unfold right before your eyes, and learn about the science behind it. The Butterfly Growing Kit contains everything you need to get started, including 5-7 caterpillars, a Caterpillar Cup with enough food to sustain them, a Butterfly Habitat for them to live in and detailed instructions on how to care for them.
Our Butterfly Breeding Kit is perfect for children as young as 3 years old, as it allows them to learn about the metamorphosis of the butterfly in a hands-on and interactive way. Even adults will be fascinated by the process, making it a great activity for the whole family.
With our Butterfly Raising Kit, you can expect to see at least four butterflies develop from the 5-7 caterpillars included in the Butterfly Breeding Kit. We were very excited about the idea of being able to watch butterflies develop. The order and shipping went smoothly. The instructions were easy to understand. The caterpillars grew quickly and also all pupated. Unfortunately, the first butterfly that hatched was so malformed that it died after a short time. Of the six other butterflies, two had underdeveloped wings that left them unable to fly. So we could only let a little over half of the pretty butterflies fly.
